SHOWING 2 REVIEW(S) OF BAND
Nosferatu
BAND: Nosferatu
ALBUM: Returning to the Slaughter (re-release with bonus)
TRACKS: 09
LABEL: Dark Sun Records
The extraordinary Cd-demo "Returning to the Slaughter", containing six fantastic songs is re-released by the label Dark Sun Records with three bonus tracks, being two covers: "Hammerhead" (Tysondog) and "Lightning Strikes" (Thor). And the song "Metal Genocide" (Valhala Demo Section vol.2). The graphic art of the album is very well elaborated, containing a lot of pictures, the lyrics and the biography. The band is working in their first album: "Satan´s Child"... Hearing "Returning to the Slaughter" I imagine and I wait anxious for the album "Satan´s Child". In the occasion of the first release of"Returning to the Slaughter" I wrote a review for this classic demo, however some years passed and I am writing another review for the same album, however hearing "Returning to the Slaughtera" gain my opinion continues the same: Pure feeling! 100% Heavy Metal! " Returning to the Slaughter " is Heavy Metal just sounding like Heavy Metal! Without new influences! In times that Heavy Metal has doubtful sonorities, "Returning to the Slaughter" is a riffs source that perpetuate the essence of the style through grandiose compositions. The bonus tracks increase in this re-release more power in the album final result, therefore through the two covers we understood the band influences that doesn't hide their metallic roots, however maintains them evident at the same time feeds the sonorous structure with own identity. I recommend! Excellent! (Fernando)

ALBUM: Returning to the Slaughter
TRACKS: 06
LABEL: Self-released (Cd-demo)
Heavy fucking Metal! I don't remember there are how long that I don't listen to a Heavy Metal as Nosferatu! This cd is pure feeling! 100% Heavy Metal! The excellent recording quality is totally eighties! If you add the sonority of the cd with the sound of the guitars, plus the vocal, you have as result a wonderful Heavy Metal in the style of Iron Maiden first albums and other sounds in this style! The music are long (on average 7 minutes each track) and replete of heavy bases and metal riffs! Nosferatu is a nuclear power station of the potent riffs All the tracks possess the same sonorous structure: many weight passages, speed, solos... and the great metal riffs with heavy bases! This cd demo is excellent and powerful! In days that Heavy Metal is invaded by melodies, keyboards and more melodies, we found in Nosferatu the essence of True Heavy Metal glorified with honor! Support this band! (Fernando)
