SHOWING 1 REVIEW(S) OF BAND
Hollows Ground
BAND: Hollows Ground
ALBUM: Devir (digi-pack)
TRACKS: 10
LABEL: Self-released
On behalf of Extreme Metal gods: What is this?! I listened this album three times trying to find definitions to write the review, but it is impossible to define Hollows Ground sound! Well, in the press-release it is written that Hollows Ground is an Avant-Garde Metal band... I already read this term several times. Here it is the challenge: my "musical knowledge" are just limited to the Metal Extremo and to write a just review for an album like Devir is a big responsibility. I don't know as to explaining "Devir", but I imagine the band sonoritylike a giant, chaotic, intense and intelligent mathematical equation. I read an article mentioning some thing about the music to be something infinite like the mathematics, being the music pure mathematics. If this is true, "Devir" is an incredible musical equation worthy of an extraordinary sonorous intelligence. You listen in "Devir" different sonorities that sound free through sonorous metamorphoses that converge for an universe of infinite sonic possibilities. "Devir" is not just Rock or Metal, but it is Heavy Music in the exact literal and sonorous sense. Devir " is not an album to be listened: "Devir" is an album to be felt in all their intensity, complexity, intelligence and freedom. Concluding: "Devir" is the first album of this young band. You know, insane reader, that the sonorous insanity is Psychosis Death reason, but as zinemaker I recognize: Hollows Ground is a band that develops songs intelligent, challenging... and insane.
